Land Surveyor / Hydrographic Surveyor / Geodetic Engineer / Geomatics Engineer

Are you looking for job opportunties? Please submit your resume here.

Familiar Technologies: Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, LandDesktop

Regions of the world you have worked: Philippines

I am applying for the position of Surveyor / Geodetic Engineer / Geomatics Engineer.
I graduated from the University of the Philippines in April 2007 with a degree in Geodetic Engineering, and placed 8th in the September 2007 Philippine Geodetic Engineering Licensure Exam.
I then worked for a year as a Geodetic Engineer / Project Development Assistant in Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. which is a subsidiary of the well-known Megaworld Corporation in the Philippines . As the job mostly demands real estate administration and supervisory work, I transferred to AMH Philippines (an engineering consulting firm staffed by mostly UP College of Engineering professors and graduates and UP College of Architecture graduates) for a more technical and hands-on job. This is where I am currently working with the sole position of Geodetic Engineer.
My job requires me to be on the field majority of the time, doing all kinds of land surveys (Topographic Survey, Route, Relocation Survey, Subdivision Survey, As-Built Survey, Verification Survey and etc.) as well as bathymetric surveys. I use total station as my main instrument for gathering data and echo sounder for measuring depth. As the only Geodetic Engineer in the company and with projects lined up one after the other, I have learned how to execute the surveys efficiently and effectively, taking as little time as possible and producing the smallest of errors, if any. Quality of work is what comes first. I have finished numerous small-scale and large-scale surveys across the country. I am also responsible for the post-processing of data, utilizing various software mainly AutoCAD Application – Land Desktop. If necessary, especially in areas of dispute, I give the most amicable and truthful recommendation to the clients to be able to come up to the best solution possible.
I am interested in taking on a new job role as I would like to continue to broaden my scope of skills, hone them, and continue to grow as an engineering professional. I am applying to be part of your company because based on what I have researched on the internet; I believe that you can develop your employees to their full potential and that you are able to take care of them by providing good compensation and benefits.
Hope to hear from you soon. More success and power to you and your company.
